Marc A. Merriman, Jr. graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana with a bachelor's degree. He is currently a Young Innovative Investigator Scholar(YIIP) pursuing his Master's in biomedical sciences at The University of Connecticut Health Center. His activity in community health programs and community outreach expands from his interest in progressing equality in science and medicine. He is actively involved in the lifestyle medicine interest group at The University of Connecticut, where he serves as the Treasurer.
